Made with wheat flour, jaggery and dry fruits, this drink is instant energy booster which provides healthy calories. Easy to make and tasty to drink, try this recipe to speed up the recovery of a patient.
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour/ Pearl Millet flour-1 tablespoon (Use either of them or half tablespoon of both of them)
- Jaggery -1 tablespoon
- Almonds , sliced-1 tablespoon
- Coconut , grated-1 tablespoon
- Cardamom – ½ teaspoon
Liquids:
- Ghee (May use coconut oil if want vegan version)-1 tablespoon heaped unmelted or 2 tablespoons melted
- Water-2 cups
Cooking Instructions :
- Heat the pan and add ghee.
- Once the ghee gets liquified, add wheat flour or pearl millet flour.
- Allow the flour to roast on a low flame until it slightly changes color and gets aromatic.
- Now add water
- Add jaggery and allow it to melt. Continue stirring as it gets cooked and mixed with the flour.
- Let the mixture come to a boil on a medium flame.
- Continue stirring until the mixture thickens. It will take approximately 5 minutes.
- Finally, add grated coconut/ Coconut oil, cardamom, and sliced almonds,
- Serve it hot in a bowl.
