Ingredients:
- Green peas-1 cup (petite peas is preferred)
- Wheat flour-1 tablespoon
- Cilantro, finely chopped-4 to 5 stems
Spices:
- Black pepper, finely crushed-½ teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Liquids:
- Canola oil-1 tablespoon (butter taste better if your health allows it)
- Milk or milk alternative-1 cup
Instructions:
- Sauté the wheat flour with oil in a pan for about a minute.
- Blend the sautéed flour with milk and pour it back in the pan or a pot.
- Add green peas, salt, and black pepper now to the blended mix and bring it to a boil or cook for 5 minutes while continuously stirring on a medium flame, making sure it does not stick to the pan. If the peas do not cook fast enough in your area, then precook by steaming separately and then adding to the white sauce. Petite peas taste the best.
- Serve hot with Tortilla or Paratha or Roti.
