Health Benefits:

The Spicy Chutney is a perfectly balanced green chutney to enhance the taste of main course and add the extra dose of health.

Ingredients:

  • Cilantro, coarsely chopped-2 cups
  • Daliya dal/Peanuts-¼ cup
  • Ginger, chopped-1 inch
  • Green Chili, chopped-1 to 2 depending on the taste

Spices:

  • Cumin seeds, roasted-½ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

Liquids:

  • Water-¼ cup
  • Lemon juice-1 teaspoon (use more lemon juice if sugar is added)

Method:

  • Take chopped cilantro, daliya, ginger, chili, roasted cumin seeds and lemon juice in a grinding jar. Grind all of them coarsely.
  • Add ¼ cup of water and grind again to the fine paste.
  • Add salt to taste and mix well.
  • Serve it fresh.

Note:

1/4 cup fresh coconut or 1 tablespoon cold-pressed coconut oil may be added for extra flavor if not going to be used for Bhel or chat.
