Ingredients:

  • Rice-1 cup
  • Sugar/Sweetener of your choice-1 cup
  • Dry fruit/sliced-3 tablespoons (Almond/Cashew/Pistachio/Raisin)
  • Saffron-4 to 5 strands (Optional)

Liquids:

  • Milk-5 cups

Cooking Instructions:

  • Rinse and soak rice for 30 minutes. Rinse again and put it aside.
  • Take soaked rice in a pressure cooker. Add milk, sugar, dry fruits and pressure cook to 3 whistles.
  • Instant pot users, can simply take all the ingredients in an Instant pot and set the pot to ‘Rice Porridge’ setting for 20 minutes.
  • Let the pressure release naturally. Open the pot/cooker and mix everything well.
  • Garnish it with saffron (optional).

The rice pudding is ready to serve!
