Sanjivani Papad Poha is made with Poha/flattened rice and Papad (thin Sundried tortilla made from urad daal or moong daal splits flour and spices) which can be roasted, microwaved, or fried before eating.

Ingredients:

  • Poha/flattened rice, thin-3 cups
  • Papad-3 -roasted, microwaved or fried

Spices:

  • Red chili powder -¼ teaspoon or less
  • Sugar powder-¼ teaspoon (optional)
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

Liquid:

  • Cooking oil-2 tablespoons

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Gently crumble the papad into small pieces in your hand and add to the poha in a Big bowl.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan on a medium flame and add turmeric. Now add Poha, red chili powder, crushed papad, salt and pinch of sugar. Mix everything well.
  3. Put everything in the oven at 150 degrees F for about 30-45 minutes or until crispy.
  4. Allow them to cool for 10 minutes and store them in an airtight container.
  5. Papad Poha is now ready to eat whenever you desire.
