Sanjivani Special Garlic Lover’s Chutney was invented by Dr. Kadakia with the intention of supplementing the daily dose of some important antioxidants in a very palatable form. It has gained a lot of popularity with its uniqueness in entertaining the taste buds. Our goal is to increase the antioxidant and blood thinning properties of the chutney with garlic.

  • Almonds/Dalia (roasted Chana Dal)-1/3 cup

  • Cumin seeds , a roasted-½ teaspoon
  • Lemon juice -2 teaspoons
  • Salt to taste-about ¾-1 teaspoon (add less as desired for your health)
  • No chilies unless less garlic is used

(Our goal is to increase the antioxidant and blood-thinning properties of the chutney with garlic)

Liquids:

  • Avocado oil /Liquified Coconut oil -3 tablespoons (Coconut oil adds a mild sweetness)
  • Water to be added only if you desire

Instructions:

  • Grind almonds in the food processor or dry grinder until mildly coarse.
  • Add cilantro, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, lemon juice, and avocado or coconut oil.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Grind to get a fine consistency like pesto sauce.

Note:

We recommend making the chutney fresh; however, the shelf life of this chutney is several months if stored in the freezer. Simply remove it from the freezer 30 minutes prior to use. If stored in the fridge, its shelf life is about 3 days depending on the cooling power of your refrigerator. Make sure your fridge’s cooling setting is on high and there is a continuous supply of electricity.
