Dr. Darshana Kadakia is a board-certified pulmonologist practicing in San Clemente since 1988. She attended medical school affiliated with the University of Mumbai, India. She completed her residency and pulmonary medicine fellowship at the University of Southern California, USA.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, & Geriatric Medicine. She is also certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine in addition to having completed personal research of her own.

Dr. Kadakia is an advocate for preventive care and believes that dietary and lifestyle changes can improve physical, mental and emotional health. She has been a vegetarian all her life and is focused on sharing the benefits of a plant-based diet. This website is intended to help others easily implement a plant-based diet into their lives.

The concept of Integrative and Holistic Medicine has received a lot of popularity and even it is getting a little complex to implement. Her goal is to simplify even that so it becomes easier to live.

She feels that the doctors are still “practicing” to master the art of medical science while the patients are “patiently” waiting and she would like to explore this field more for her own self and share her experiences and discoveries with others.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, studying the philosophical, spiritual or scientific material, watching movies, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys inventing and discovering new healthy cooking recipes. Currently, she is creating designs for machines that make life more simple and specifically making a high-tech kitchen that enhances workflow and efficiency. She is loved by her family, patients and students for her warmth, dedication, and enthusiastic nature.
